Your background
- You are an eloquent communicator who loves to solve business challenges (on your own and in a team) and to improve processes for the benefit of teammates and partners
- You pride yourself with attention to detail and have gained initial experiences managing small to medium sized projects that generated business benefit
- Collaboration is your second nature
- While the role does not require you to have a deep technical understanding, you are comfortable with technical concepts and have had an opportunity to support transformational projects. Knowledge of information security controls will be an added advantage
- You will have had exposure to regulatory frameworks and risk management concepts and have ideally supported business continuity management in a technology environment
- Ability to work with stakeholders in business and technology groups who are based in various locations as required by the projects and you are comfortable working in a mixed office/virtual environment
- You are inquisitive and creative to assure timely outcomes
- Ideally, you hold a process improvement or project management certification or are studying towards one, such as Six Sigma, Lean, Prince/2, Agile

Global Information Security helps to assess threats and provide scalable and flexible solutions to actively manage these threats and specific risks to the Bank.
The Business Operations Officer will be part of the APAC GIS COO team providing operational and delivery expertise with a focus on driving information security awareness and rigor to meet business requirements and goals, while addressing the agreed risk tolerances of the business environment.
The successful candidate will be able to work both individually and as part of a team, bringing an organized and disciplined, but creative and energetic enthusiasm to building a best-in-class organization.
What you will do
- Act as Operational Excellence champion in the region and work closely with the Process Excellence team and senior GIS leaders to facilitate the execution of the Enterprise Process Management Policy and associated governance routines, controls, and measurements
- Ensure the successful adoption of operational and business change e.g. operational excellence, process improvement and initiatives (technology and non-technology)
- Work closely with the regional Business Continuity Management (BCM) lead on overseeing the BCM review cycle, including Business Impact Analysis, Recovery strategies and procedures
- Deputize as advisor for BCM related matters to GIS stakeholders including senior management
- Work closely with the Information Security Officers (ISO) to enable execution of the banks Information security strategy, policy, and program
- Assist the ISO in the coverage and oversight of relevant controls to ensure obligations are fulfilled in a timely manner
- Support global and regional ad-hoc/project-based initiatives in execution
- Partner with stakeholders where needed to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
- Be flexible, demonstrate desire to learn and to be able deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
