Compliance Manager

Role Description

We are seeking a candidate with a self-starter mindset and strong relationship management skills. The ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels, identify key issues, and provide alternative solutions is critical to success in this role. Key differentiators will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily regulated environment. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Key liaison person for regulatory authorities in Singapore and global offices (e.g India, US, Middle East)
  • Proven effectiveness at managing outsourced service providers to achieve timely and quality deliverable for review
  • Responsible for the maintenance and execution of the Company's Compliance Program to ensure business alignment with relevant regulation, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Providing key support to the investment teams on deal related transactions from a documentation review and execution standpoint
  • Responding to compliance related DDQs in respect of our funds under management
  • Oversight and review of company's FATCA/ CRS reporting obligations and AML/KYC documentation
  • Oversight and reviewing the statutory filings for the Company and the funds under management
  • Facilitate compliance related training for employees where necessary
  • The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Compliance and senior leaders across the Group to maintain a strong compliance culture. Accordingly, critical success factors will include the ability to develop partnerships with many functional areas and having a global mindset that fosters collaboration across all jurisdictions.
  • In addition to these duties the candidate may be required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.

Education and/or Work Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree
  • AML/ CFT certifications would be advantageous
  • Experience in investment and/or funds regulatory compliance
  • Able to work independently with sound judgement
  • Able to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously in a demanding environment
  • Able to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of management and stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
