Key Responsibilities
Financial & Management accounting & reporting
- Responsible for month-end closing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of completion and submission
- Analytical review of performance against budget and forecast, with associated commentaries
- Key liaison with Operations for commission-related matters for entity
- Monitoring of expenditures, revenues and sales figure
- Preparation of monthly financial & management accounts
- Group reporting for monthly, half yearly and annual results
- Tax reporting to relevant tax authorities (GST & Income tax returns_
- Annual Regulatory reporting to MAS
Risk management
- Contribute to an effective internal control functioning for the finance function
- Monitor potential reputation risk and protect company's assets and image
- Support line manager in cash flow monitoring and NAV calculation and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the above functional activities.
Change management
- Support various ongoing and new change & transformational initiatives
- Others
- Support line manager with ad hoc matters
Requirements
Experience
- At least 3- 5 years of relevant Finance experience
- Experience with financial planning and analysis
- Detailed focus, highly analytical orientation. Self-driven and proactive
- Experience in process improvements, standardisation and automation
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and solve problems
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
- Strong business acumen
Education
- Academic: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and/or Finance
- Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA) Certification(s) (preferred)
