Our client is an insurance company with General and Life Businesses They are currently undergoing an exciting transformation, getting the latest technologies, and expanding the teams.
They are looking for a passionate Technology Risk specialist with a strong knowledge of risk frameworks, IT control standards and exceptional business acumen and stakeholder skills.
Role Purpose
- Support the CRO in the group risk management function with emphasis on Technology and Cyber risks.
- This can be done by working with BU to ensure that the IT operates within the approved group risk appetite framework and that the appropriate governance and oversight arrangements are in place to effectively manage the IT risks in the business.
- Consolidate the risk reporting on operational & regulatory risks for regular senior management (monthly at SLT and quarterly for ORRC) and Board meetings (quarterly) at the parent company level for the Aviva Singlife entities (Aviva Ltd, Singlife, AFA, PIAS and NISL). This also includes the review and challenge of their reported positions, where necessary.
- Independent reviews of Aviva Ltd (AL) and Navigator (NISL) risks and controls, deep dive assessment of issues, risks exposures and effectiveness of controls.
- Perform risk analysis of AL and NISL Risk events, ensuring adequate root cause analysis and corrective actions are taken.
- Monitor BU's issues and action closure management.
- Provide review and challenge on the effectiveness of the IT Operational Risk and Control Management, including the reliability of iCARE.
- Review and challenge of policy and business standard attestations and modification and exception requests.
- Provide IT risk advisory to BUs including involvement in key BU initiatives and provides.
Position requirements
- 6 years of experience in technology governance, risk management, operational risk and control management
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Information Technology.
- Professional Certifications CISSP, CISA or other recognised organisation.
- Knowledge of life and general insurance markets, including the environment and regulations
- Understanding of Risk Management and Governance framework.
- Proficient in reviews and risk assessments.
- Ability to track and follow-up on status of issues and reports to the relevant Committees.
